The Yokai Planet

The Yokai Planet (Japanese: 妖怪プラネット Yōkai puranetto) is the twenty-sixth episode of the second season of Scooby-Doo: The Next Mystery.

Summary[]

A teleporter created by Mishi malfunctions after her rival vandalizes it and transports the gang to an alien planet called Yokaios whose inhabitants resemble Monsters Mystery Inc. has met in the past. At first they desperately try to escape it, but are soon roped by the intergalactic super villain Paohker the Slaughterer, now they must stop Paohker from not only selling the natives but also stop him from destroying the planet.

The spacesuits that Mystery Inc. wear are based on the Plugsuits from the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion.
Paohker's appearance and personality is inspired by Ronan the Accuser from Guardians of the Galaxy.

Paohker: [turns around and looks at the terrified Scrappy and Nigamora with a stone-cold look on his face] I am Paohker the Slaughterer. The king of death! I am one with blood! I come from beyond the Underworld! I have bathed in the blood of children and souls! [Walks off into the brush, the Bi-Cat yowling before making a choke. Scrappy and Nigamora watches in horror with O expressions on their faces then Scrappy points at him.]
