GoAnimate: Summer Vacation is the upcoming American computer-animated comedy adventure action television special, produced by Blue Sky Studios, 20th Century Fox Television, 21 Laps Entertainment and DHX Media, directed by Patrick Osborne in his first computer animated tv special before the first fully computer animated film Nimona (2020) instead of ink and painted 2D traditonal hand-drawn animation and written by Chad Hodge and Jim Hecht. It is based on the same name of the video by Alvin Hung and Bryon Sharpe. This tv special features with the voices of Michael Cera, Martin Short, Alison Brie, Ron Perlman, Frances McDormand, Keegan Michael-Key, Jordan Peele, Kenan Thompson, Ving Rhames, Octavia Spence, Tiffany Haddish, F. Murray Abraham, Jon Hamm and Ray Ramano, John Leguizamo, Denis Leary with special voices of Joe Jonas as the Kraken, Hank Azaria as Karotok, a small albino white bat-like serpent hybrid and J.K. Simmons as Kai, a ox-like sorceress from Kung Fu Panda 3 (2016).
It will be released on July 10, 2019 by 20th Television and Disney Television Animation and its aired on Fox and Cartoon Network.
This is the first GoAnimate special to be animated in CGI and also is using with computer animation by the Greenwich Connecticut based animation studio Blue Sky Studios.
