Clarence John "Clancy" Brown III (born January 5, 1959 in Urbana, Ohio, USA) is an American actor, voice actor and comedian known for his roles as The Kurgan in the fantasy film Highlander, Captain Byron Hadley in prison drama film The Shawshank Redemption and Brother Justin Crowe in the television series Carnivàle. Brown has also provided his voice to many films, television series, and video games, including Lex Luthor in various DC media featuring Superman, Doctor Neo Cortex in the Crash Bandicoot franchise and Mr. Krabs in the long-running animated television comedy series SpongeBob SquarePants. He also voices Alec Ryder in Mass Effect: Andromeda.
